Remembering back to the 90's all the text only websites, that had no graphics at all which made people not want to search as much as in 2017 and beyond. Now with video, pictures, and social media, the web has become a place where many spend hours and hours every day. Some websites like wait gutters and bend Oregon plumber might need to be brought into 2017, however, it doesn't always mean its a good idea.

Some of the oldest ugliest websites, out pull newer more creative websites by a long shot. Only the business owner and the marketing professional know how well the site is pulling new business. Sometimes it can be a good idea to leave good enough alone. Then, when we see a newer site like veterans plumbing which may not do well at all, compared to dry ice Louisville with great photos of before and after makes us realize there are so many variables to how a site really works.

Your site may not need a facelift if it is working for you, however, sometimes it can be a good idea like this design x hair and bend custom home builder did. With photos and video really changing the web every day it can be a good idea to integrate them into your website. There are a lot of options to create a newer more advanced website with video and photos, but if your site is working well you may just want to let good be.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-22566961101350380572017-02-02T16:16:00.000-08:002017-02-02T16:16:39.562-08:00Should You Include Social Media On Web Pages?
I don't think having social media on a website is even up for debate anymore. Of course, you should include any and all social media that your business participates in. Here is a company 911 plumbing and I cannot find any social media. On the other hand, I find a bend custom home builder with social media at the bottom of the page. Of course, I believe that finding a place nearer the top would be better it is still good that it included on the main page.

Here is an example for Bend heating that there is only one Facebook link. More social media would only help this business in his local market. Here is yet another example of an Aliso Viejo carpet cleaner who has no social media on his or hers website. The more the better in this day and age because of all the reviews you can gain. Consumers look at those reviews and make decisions based on those reviews.

Here are some to look at that have social media:

Burbank Salon
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse

Here are some without social media:

Capital Fence
Daves Chain Link Fencing
dry ice Louisville

Get all the social media on your website possible. It will only help your business.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-69313270106332544172017-01-31T13:28:00.000-08:002017-01-31T13:28:15.686-08:00Great Custom Home Builder Websites! If you are going to put together a custom home builder website you better get some great photos. This just isn't a regular home builder but a custom home builder. Don't you agree that a custom home builder should have some custom photos of their custom home building projects? Here are a few that have done well for their clients.
First, this Bend Custom Home builder DC Graham Construction has a terrific website. It appears that they have had a professional take some terrific pictures of their custom homes in Bend Oregon. This is a pro site and if you are doing a custom home builder website do not skimp on the photos.
Here is another website that did not skimp on the photos. Rosewood custom builders have an incredible website as well. The photos become so important in a site like this. If you are a custom builder and have second-grade photos who in their right mind would ever want to do business with you.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-34767632338541137352017-01-31T13:02:00.000-08:002017-01-31T13:02:00.277-08:00Another Great Local Website!I just thought this site for dry ice Louisville was an incredible local site. First off if you wanted to buy dry ice Louisville, the site has everything you need to know. Also, the photos on the site are well done and give the consumer exactly what they need to know.
Whoever put this content together on this page really knew what they were doing. If this website doesn't pull conversions after a while then it isn't the sites fault. Also, on the dry ice blasting Louisville page, another well-constructed page with all the bells and whistles behind the scenes as well.
The only thing I would add is to have more information in the footer from the webmaster who constructed this website because it's just that good.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-78230201086465025042012-06-20T16:41:00.001-07:002012-06-20T16:41:49.897-07:00Do Coupons Work On Websites? Some websites have coupons and some don't but size does matter when it comes to coupons. If a website has a coupon but it is too small to read or see then it usually doesn't do well. If a website has a coupon that is large enough to see with a compelling offer then it can do well. Most coupons in the market are not compelling enough for it to be worth an action for the customer. Having a 10.00 off your first service coupon like bend auto repair might not be enough for a consumer to respond to the offer which can make the coupon valueless.
Even the large coupon sites like Groupon can have a difficult time getting businesses to give away enough to make a coupon great. It does Groupon and the business no good to have a coupon that is not powerful enough to attract a new customer. This site for portland auto body has 50.00 to 100.00 off your deductible when you get your auto body work done with them. That is enough money to pull in a new customer for sure. Just make sure that before you start a coupon to look at coupon sites like Living Social and more to get ideas of what you think can be attractive and work well.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-79137495920291366272012-06-19T10:58:00.000-07:002012-06-19T10:58:17.564-07:00Websites That Work And Websites That Dont! There are many different marketing styles out there when it comes to websites. Some are good and produce results and some are bad and are a waste of time and money for the customer. why have a website when people who visit dont want to call or convert to a sale for the customer. This can be the difference between the website making the business a lot of money or being a total bust.

Boss Plumbing is a decent site that can produce some results but Bend Concrete and bend drywall is even better. It is better because there is a higher quality look to it with more custom features. Everything is easy to navigate and if you were someone looking for concrete in your backyard I'm sure you would agree that you would give them a call. Hollywood Plumbing on the other hand is a sad looking site that is probably a waste of time and money for that business owner. There is not a lot of high quality content and it is difficult to read and navigate. There is no reason for a customer to call on this website and I'm sure many people visit the site and immediately leave for various reasons.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-18738307427420175182012-01-23T14:28:00.000-08:002012-01-23T14:28:37.693-08:00Big City Vs Small Town MarketingThe difference in marketing a website for a large city vs a small town can be vast. First, there is always going to be more competition in a large city like Los Angeles vs a small town like Bend Oregon. One has millions of people and one has thousands. Likewise there will be many more businesses all competing in an area of millions of people. What does still work well though is to market to your keywords. London Cleaners Los Angeles has included the keyword,"Los Angeles" in their URL which will help it to come up in the search engines. In a smaller town there is bend plumbing, bend storage, bend carpet cleaning, and much more that all use keywords in their URL. While this is a good thing to do good SEO will remind you that it is only 1 to 4% of the algorithm for the search engines. In other words these websites have good content and SEO being done to get them to the first page. A good URL is important but it isn't everything. You can see that good SEO is much more that just a good domain name.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-74677080256123057862012-01-17T10:41:00.000-08:002012-01-17T10:41:08.761-08:00E-Commerce websites doing betterWith more and more people spending money online these days it's no wonder that e-commerce websites are profiting as a result. Companies like,"Mattress Foam" and,"Hand Stamped Necklaces" have created their own niche e-commerce websites to profit from sales across the country around the globe. New technology is making it easier to construct these websites with good search capabilities for the small or large business owner. The days of the brick and mortar being the end all be all for retail and wholesale marketing is changing fast. With more security being done in online marketing more consumers are using e-commerce to buy more consumer items. It's nice to support local businesses for sure but when a consumer has more choices online as well as saving 20 to 70 percent from retail it's no wonder that businesses are benefiting from their e-commerce stores.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-58470047002939826042012-01-17T09:34:00.000-08:002012-01-17T09:34:01.831-08:00What is happening in Local Search? There are many businesses that are benefiting from their website being listed in the local searches for a certain city and service. Here are some examples of sites like storage bend, burbank salon, los angeles plumbing, bend hair salon, los angeles carpet cleaning, bend crane, bend truck repair, los angeles water heaters, bend garage doors, beaverton auto body and of course there are many more. What these companies have chosen to do is have a domain name for their business location and service or instead of just focusing on their business name. There have been more and more businesses doing that over the last few years which seems to be a smart marketing move as the Internet gets more and more complex and competitive. Actually doing this for a company requires advanced skills in marketing thought. Most businesses don't do this because it just doesn't make sense to some of them, however, the ones that do will benefit from limited supply of specialty domain names that are only available one time.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-85845920222078613272011-05-24T12:43:00.000-07:002011-05-24T12:43:25.098-07:00Is A Graphic Website Better Than A Text Only Site?Is it better to have less graphics or more like this Vail Furniture Site? We have found that more graphics is usually better these days. Having more graphics including pictures and videos draws the attention of the visitor in to the website. Just having text is a thing of the past so the more pictures and videos the better as long as they load quick. Also if you can have more interactivity on your site where visitors can actually get involved the better as well.
The site above is a beautiful creation by a web developer who obviously cared about the look and feel
of the site. As a result if it can be marketed correctly it will produce for the customer. Now all that is needed are visitors. With so many websites created these days it is necessary to have a well constructed site that has a great look and feel. If you get a basic site with text only well then you might as well go to an article directory and write one yourself because that is all the site really is anyway.
Our marketing professionals always recommend more graphics to a website. Graphics to a website are like yeast to bread, "it raises the dough". Just make sure the graphics make sense and are related to the content of the site. We don't want graphic overload either because then you have people leaving the site. So have fun and go create a beautiful website today.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-11872603874396929182011-03-22T17:07:00.000-07:002011-03-22T17:07:28.189-07:00Make Money With Google Adsense

Stop dreaming about making money from the Internet and start doing it today. Google AdSense is just one
way to start earning money on the world wide web. There are many other programs like AdSense on the market but Googles AdSense has the most advertisers which makes it more relevant when you are looking for ads that fit your websites content. So create a site and put on some AdSense. Just maybe you can pay for something you want and don't have the money for. Maybe you could even one day leave your job.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-49780078225751776292011-03-17T11:21:00.000-07:002011-03-17T11:21:40.037-07:00Are You Ready For Video In Your Website?Video is exploding as we all are aware or should be. Before we think about doing it we should ask why? First of all there are only two reasons people watch video. One is for entertainment and the other is for information and that's it. Mount Lake Terrace Auto Insurance is a great example of a insurance company doing an entertainment video on information on how to get low cost insurance for your auto.
The value of doing a video like these for the auto insurance company is that they do so many they are building an audience and over time they can convert that audience into revenue. Things to think about are the length of the video, type of ad (entertainment or information), and how you want the audience to view your business image.
When your distributing your video it is important to put it on as many platforms as possible like the obvious You Tube, Hulu, AOL, Yahoo, and of course countless others. It's been well known that video content is becoming the king of kings for web content. That being said make sure you are standing on high ground when the huge wave crashes a shore.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-59857009695828409182011-03-09T10:21:00.000-08:002011-03-09T10:21:15.088-08:00Facebook Ads Are Getting Expensive Aren't They? Now that the word is out that Facebook ads were cheap compared to Google ad words things have changed. Recently it has come to our attention that the ads on Facebook have shot up quite a bit and I think its because the secret is out. Its amazing how fast the prices have changed on Facebook once people have realized what a great marketing opportunity it is. Obviously it is an advertising medium never seen before in human history but like everything else it will be for the large companies with huge budgets to market.
Google ad words are now sometimes less expensive than the Facebook but you have to realize they offer two different ways to advertise. With Google ad words the can be more directionally targeted when someone actually wants to buy something. However, with Facebook it is more creative marketing just getting your brand seen by the masses in certain market segments. You can choose ages, likes or dislikes, and many other things but you don't know if they are looking for your product or service. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish with your marketing efforts they can be extremely valuable if you have the budget.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-31154018070679990922011-03-08T11:04:00.000-08:002011-03-08T11:04:36.784-08:00Is Online Advertising For You?The first thing I have to say is that you never will know until you give it a try. There are so many different ways to earn money on the internet that you can be like a deer stuck in the headlights and never do anything. Whatever your business or passion is you need to give it a try and start a blog or a website with what ever knowledge you have to offer the world. Everyone has some kind of knowledge or passion to give back to the world and now is your chance with the world wide web. You may even change a life with what you have to give.
If your a couch potato then you know more about being lazy than most people and believe it or not there is someone out there who wants to know about it. If you like your jacuzzi you could do a review about them and there are people out there who would like to know your thoughts. These are silly examples but strange as it may seem there are may people out there who have made lots of money sharing their ridiculous ideas.
Either way you need to start with a website so don't delay and start writing because there is someone out there who wants what you have.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-58551836121315184092011-03-07T13:56:00.000-08:002011-03-07T13:56:29.573-08:00One Site Or Many Micro sites? The question that many business owners ask themselves is should I have only one website for my many locations or should I have one website or micro site for each location. We think the best way to handle this is to do a website for each location. Like auto insurance in Bremerton, or auto insurance in Lynnwood, or auto insurance in West Seattle, or auto insurance in Bellevue, or auto insurance in Gresham these sites are all micro sites off the companies main website. It makes sense to do a website for each location vs one site for all locations. Having a site for every location will attract much more visitors and all the websites will benefit the others. With only one website it can be difficult to cultivate more visitors with each area served and much more pay per click advertising is needed at a higher cost than doing micro sites.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-56045382899343979812011-03-02T11:01:00.000-08:002011-03-02T11:01:13.473-08:00Get Response Vs AWeber Auto RespondersWe have tried both services and agree that there are less difficult software programs on the market. However, the graphics for your emails and forms are nice looking if that is important to you. Be careful when signing up with Get Response as they will not give you a refund if you are not satisfied with the service. AWeber, however, will refund your money if you are not happy with their email contact management program. That being said we found that both email programs have a learning curve associated with them.
We found iContact to be the easiest and most simple to use for a beginner. iContact doesn't have the graphic email forms but you may not need or want it to be that way. A simple opt in form from iContact can sometimes work better anyway. The delivery is the best with iContact which is the most important thing to look at when it comes to your email campaigns. Also, if it is too difficult then you may not use it the way you would like to. Save yourself a lot of time and head aches and go with a simple email contact system.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-74640339429134981432011-02-28T13:01:00.000-08:002011-02-28T13:01:19.176-08:00AWeber VS IContactAWeber has been around for a while but iContact seems to be an easier software program to work on. AWeber has more graphic oriented templates for emails and blog forms but it can take some time to learn. If you are looking for an easier way to handle your email campaigns and want to find something simple then I would recommend iContact over AWeber. The Staff at iContact is always there to handle your phone calls but AWeber can sometimes be difficult to actually talk to a human. iContact has a trial period where you can test drive the email services they provide while AWeber does not. There are many other companies that provide these services as well and we have test driven almost all the major ones and have found that the iContact is the most user friendly service available. The email delivery is also the highest in the industry. Even more affordable and simple to use as well would be a simple email campaign. What ever you choose make sure you use a simple program so you actually use it.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-23835025207343669802011-02-14T13:17:00.000-08:002011-02-14T13:17:13.831-08:00Is Your Business Prepared For Local Search?Local Search is all around us now and is one of the fastest growing segments on the internet. Many businesses are not aware of this and how to create a local marketing effort on line. There are many different strategies and opportunities when it comes to local search. The thing every business needs to be concerned with is how to be found on the internet locally instead of the old traditional way of just being listed in the phone directory.
Some companies choose to do a local site to capture those local leads. Here is an example of auto insurance in Tacoma Washington doing a specific local website. This is one example of targeting local traffic or a business can just pay for search engine optimization for one site. If a business chooses to do both then even better. The more opportunities to capture a local customer the better.
The answer is that it depends on what you are going to use the website for. If you just need some exposure on the net and a place for customers to go to get your phone number and some information about your business then I would say to do it yourself where they have a small business website builder.
If you don't have time to deal with learning html code and graphics software but would like to have something represent your site well then you need to look to a professional web design firm. There are many firms out there but you should look for a company that does marketing as well as web design. The two should go together but sometimes don't. Most of the time you will just get a nice looking website but there is much more to it than that only. What good is a nice looking website that doesn't get any visitors?
Visitors are to a website like yeast is to bread. It raises the dough.
Marketing is almost more important than the website itself much of the time. Although the marketing needs to start at the foundation which is the website itself. therefore, everything in the website project is important and needs to be addressed properly. With one piece of the puzzle missing then everything is lost and must be refinished. You might as well start over if you don't get it right with your image and marketing.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5114510495260511246.post-5427739992641409532011-02-07T09:29:00.000-08:002011-02-07T09:29:03.348-08:00Website AutomationNowadays you'd probably locate many net hosting reseller automation equipment for your customers. I have even pointed a custom domain to the Blogger domain which they recently allowed users to do. I am at the point of getting everything up and going on Blogger/Blogspot and I will keep you posted on the success.

Subscribe in a reader

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
