The difference in marketing a website for a large city vs a small town can be vast. First, there is always going to be more competition in a large city like Los Angeles vs a small town like Bend Oregon. One has millions of people and one has thousands. Likewise there will be many more businesses all competing in an area of millions of people. What does still work well though is to market to your keywords. London Cleaners Los Angeles has included the keyword,"Los Angeles" in their URL which will help it to come up in the search engines. In a smaller town there is bend plumbing, bend storage, bend carpet cleaning, and much more that all use keywords in their URL. While this is a good thing to do good SEO will remind you that it is only 1 to 4% of the algorithm for the search engines. In other words these websites have good content and SEO being done to get them to the first page. A good URL is important but it isn't everything. You can see that good SEO is much more that just a good domain name.

With more and more people spending money online these days it's no wonder that e-commerce websites are profiting as a result. Companies like,"Mattress Foam" and,"Hand Stamped Necklaces" have created their own niche e-commerce websites to profit from sales across the country around the globe. New technology is making it easier to construct these websites with good search capabilities for the small or large business owner. The days of the brick and mortar being the end all be all for retail and wholesale marketing is changing fast. With more security being done in online marketing more consumers are using e-commerce to buy more consumer items. It's nice to support local businesses for sure but when a consumer has more choices online as well as saving 20 to 70 percent from retail it's no wonder that businesses are benefiting from their e-commerce stores.

There are many businesses that are benefiting from their website being listed in the local searches for a certain city and service. Here are some examples of sites like storage bend, burbank salon, los angeles plumbing, bend hair salon, los angeles carpet cleaning, bend crane, bend truck repair, los angeles water heaters, bend garage doors, beaverton auto body and of course there are many more. What these companies have chosen to do is have a domain name for their business location and service or instead of just focusing on their business name. There have been more and more businesses doing that over the last few years which seems to be a smart marketing move as the Internet gets more and more complex and competitive. Actually doing this for a company requires advanced skills in marketing thought. Most businesses don't do this because it just doesn't make sense to some of them, however, the ones that do will benefit from limited supply of specialty domain names that are only available one time.
